STRENGTH  SESSIONS

PREVENTING INJURY AND IMPROVING SPEED

Led by our experienced Strength Coaches Lena Placzek and Dennis Serna, we host weekly sessions for our members aiming to prevent injury while improving overall performance through a balanced range of strength exercises.

 

No matter where you are in your training cycle, each group class works together to go through this general flow of exercises which can be adjusted based on individual goals or specific soreness: 

​

  • Mobility - Light stretches to ensure full the body can achieve full range of motion

  • Activations - Warming up the muscles and body for the strength portion of the work out

  • Strength - Weighted or resistance band training to improve single leg strength and overall balance/coordination

  • Plyometrics - Exercises aimed to help sustain form at higher paces (example: small box jumps or single leg hops over mini hurdles)

  • Decompression - Quiet and focused cool down for a few minutes to start the recovery process.
